Day 5
Today I am thankful that Rogue is getting bigger and more aware. He's starting awake longer during the day and sleeping longer at night. Soon I will be back to a regular schedule. :)

Day 4
Apparently I'm not as good as I thought I'd be at posting something every day. Lol
Today I am thankful that I have a few good friends and family that I can call on in a time of need. My car broke down today and I called my oldest son. He came immediately to get us off the side of the road. I know there are a few others I could have called too. But of course I'd rather see my son. :)

Day 3
My days have been running together with Rogue not sleeping well. So yes, I just realized I skipped yesterday. Sorry.
Today I am thankful for Alex. He is my ex husband. The father of my sweet Alexia. We split up 4 years ago. But when I was forced to quit working 15 days before Rogue was born, he stepped in. I went to Tennessee for a week and then came back and moved into his house. He is letting me stay home with my 3 small children and take care of them while he supports us. My children don't have to worry about food, or clothes, or a place to live. He takes care of all of our needs. And quite a bit of our wants. He has every reason to turn his back on us but he doesn't. I don't think I'll ever be able to show him just how thankful I am. But I do tell him all the time.

Day 2
Today I am thankful for my daughter. Alexia absolutely loves school. She loves learning. And she's a fast learner. I can't believe they have homework every day in kindergarten, but Alexia loves doing it. And I am so thankful to be here helping her with it every day. She so smart!
Today she wrote the entire alphabet. Upper and lower case.

Day 1
This first post in my Thankful Every Day blog will likely be the longest one. I want to explain what the blog is for and what made me decide to write it. After that I will just be keeping up with being thankful.
I am in a Facebook group that focuses on adoption. One if the women in there said that while she was waiting to adopt she kept a desk calendar. And every day she write something good or funny on it. I thought that was a great idea.
I have a lot if negative things in my life. And I complain about them all the time. Sometimes I get depressed. So I decided instead of a calendar that will be thrown away or lost, I would start a blog. One that is only upbeat and happy. And thankful. Sometimes, I get so caught up in the negativity surrounding me that I further to look for the positive. So I am challenging myself to write a positive post daily.
Sometimes it will be taking about a memory that makes me happy. Sometimes it will be something nice someone did or said to me. Sometimes it will be one if the off the all funny things my kids do. They are so good at that. :) I don't know what all will end up in this blog. But it will all be good.
For yesterday, since it is now past midnight, I just want to say I'm thankful for my kids. All of them. Christopher is 20. Jeremy is 19. Joshua is 12. Alexia is 5. Rogue is almost 3 months. They are my world. And I am so blessed to be their Mama.
